The less showier version of Bidens, this annual reaches heights anywhere from 1 to 3 feet and is useful for seeding with any of our Wet Soil Native Seed Mixes. It provides first year color and habitat while the perennial species in your seed mix continue to establish.

Devil's Beggarticks prefers moist soils and partial shade to full sun. Yellow bloom are produced anywhere from July through September. This native plant species is typically found in wetlands and wetter environments.

How To Plant Devil's Beggarticks Seeds:

Direct sow seeds into prepared soil in late fall once soil temps are below 50 degrees (usually mid to late November). Can also be planted in winter during natural freeze/thaw cycles and early spring. Plant shallow, no deeper than 1/8 to 1/4 inch deep and lightly rake to work seed in. Plant in partial shade to full sun. Typically produces blooms the first growing season. It is an annual species and will need to be replanted every growing season.
