Lurid sedge is an obligate wetland species found almost always in moist to wet areas. It forms tufts at the basil leaves and has culms up to 2 1/2 feet long.
Spiklets (seed heads) are usually yellowish in color and are of a medium size.
Does well in full sun to part shade.Â
Found in the eastern half of the United States and Canada.
