A native perennial forb that supports a wide range of wildlife. The species grows in a variety of soil textures and moisture contents.
Showy Tick Trefoil is a prominent prairie legume, and as such, helps create fixed nitrogen in prairie soils. Fruits are chains of 3 to 5 segmented pods, so-called "stick-tights" that adhere to clothing.
Seed Envelopes contain approximately 0.02 ounces of seed and cover about 5 to 10 square feet.
