Eastern Great Lakes Native Pollinator Seed Packet

Regionally adapted open pollinated native wildflowers and grasses make up this mix developed by us and approved by our friends at The Xerces Society. This blend, appropriate for Ohio, Indiana, Western Pennsylvania and Western New York, provides nectar and food sources for numerous pollinators and larva. Wildflowers were selected to continuously bloom and provide forage areas all season long, while grasses add diversification, structure and habitat to round out out the mix. Our partnership with The Xerces Society ensures that your seed mix is neonicotinoid and pesticide free and provides a safe habitat for all regionally important pollinators.

Some things to remember:

  • This mix of native grasses and wildflowers will need at least three growing seasons to fully establish. There are some annuals included in the mix for first year color and foraging for pollinators.
  • This mix will need at least six hours of sunlight a day and performs best when planted in well-drained soils. Finished heights once established range from 3 to 5 feet.
  • This mix is great for beekeepers! It contains wildflowers that bloom at different times of the growing season to provide foraging.
