Nodding Wild Onion - never did a name mean so much on a plant. Pretty pink flowers nod towards the ground with the scent of - you guessed it - onion.
With full sun, Nodding Wild Onion will reach 1 to 3 feet and blooms anywhere from June through August and prefers moist soil.
How To Plant Nodding Wild Onion Seeds:
Direct sow seeds into prepared soil in late fall once soil temps are below 50 degrees (usually mid to late November). Can also be planted in winter during natural freeze/thaw cycles and early spring. Plant shallow, no deeper than 1/8 - 1/4 inch deep and lightly rake to work seed in. Plant in full sun to partial shade. Can take 3 growing seasons to fully establish.
